Join us for the second annual 5K/10K Clopper Lake Trail Race at Seneca Creek State Park on October 10, 2020!
The course will follow the Lake Shore Trail around Clopper Lake.
Disclaimer: The Lake Shore Trail loop that we’ve marked is a bit longer than a true 5K. Based on our measurements, a more accurate distance for the 5K (10K) is about 5.2K-5.3K (10.4K-10.6K).
The race starts and finishes at Buck Pavilion, there is plenty of parking, but carpooling is always encouraged!
Register by September 22, 2020, to guarantee your shirt size!

Q. Where does the race start?
A. Race HQ and the Start/Finish line are located at Buck Pavillion.
Q. Can I run with a stroller?
A. No, not unless your stroller is self-driving and is equipped with all-terrain tires 😄. In all seriousness though, the trail is simply not suitable for strollers.
Q. Can I run with my dog?
A. Unfortunately, not this year. We love trail running with our Chocolate Lab and wish we could allow it, however, in the interest of safety, we’ve decided we can’t allow participants with dogs this year.
Q. Can I change the distance I register for?
A. Yes, but you must email us by OCTOBER 8 to make any changes. We will not accept any distance changes after October 8. We will NOT allow changes on Race Day morning!
Q. Are you offering T-Shirts?
A. YES, but you must register by Tuesday, September 22, 2020, to guarantee you receive a shirt in your preferred size. Participants registering after September 22 are not guaranteed a shirt, but may receive one on a first-come, first-serve basis on race-day, depending on available surplus.
Q. What are the cut off times?
A. All runners must be off the course by 11:00 am.
Q. What’s the course like?
A. You will run on a natural trail, with rocks, roots, some hills, and bridges (no stream crossings).
Q. Is there a finishers’ medal?
A. YOU BET!
Q. I’m new to trail running, is this a good race for noobs?
A. Absolutely! The loop around Clopper Lake is the perfect balance of distance, climb, and off-road terrain for new trail runners and expert trailblazers alike. We suggest starting with the 5K (1 loop) if this is your first trail race.
Q. Will you have cups at the race?
A. We strive to reduce waste we are CUPLESS, we will have water stations to refill your water bottle on course and at Buck Pavillion.
