Founder & Owner, Melissa Kauffman, was born and raised in Rochester, New York. She is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, serving four years of active duty working in aircraft maintenance. Following her service, Melissa attended Georgia State University and received her bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Administration, specializing in Event Management. After graduating from GSU, eager to explore the world and get out of her comfort zone, Melissa moved to South Korea and later Hong Kong to explore parts unknown.

It was in Hong Kong, a world-renowned mecca for competitive sports events where she was first introduced to race directing and race timing, helping a colleague organize and time ultramarathon trail races. She quickly fell in love with trail running as well as with the fun, exciting, and rewarding business of creating and managing race events. Inspired by these experiences, Melissa set her sights on launching her own race timing and race directing company back in the states. And the rest is history!

Andrew grew up in Rochester, New York and graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in physics. He now works as a data scientist for a large consulting company. From the first race we timed in 2016 to the last race of 2023 and nearly every race in between, Andrew showed up and was Melissa’s right-hand man on race day. In 2024, Andrew decided it was time to step away from race timing so that he could reclaim his weekends and “focus on pursuing his midlife-crisis adventures” 🤣. While we certainly will miss him, we’re glad he’s out living his best life. And you’ll still see him around for some of our larger events.
